Carpenters Local 205 is a proud affiliate of The United Brotherhood of Carpenters and Joiners of America. The UBC International Headquarters is located in Washington D.C.

The Eastern Atlantic States Regional Council of Carpenters is based in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Local 205 is one of the local unions that make up this region.

JURISDICTION

Our jurisdiction covers the majority of Virginia. Local 205 has several different agreements in place. The map above indicates our two most widely used agreements which cover the Southwest VA Association of Contractors and The Virginia Association of Contractors.

Labor Day is more than a long weekend. It’s a time to recognize the working men and women whose hard work, sacrifice, and solidarity helped build the rights and opportunities workers enjoy today.

Today, we were proud to celebrate our members and their families at our Labor Day picnic. Thank you to everyone who joined us and helped make it such a great day.

It was a chance to enjoy good food, spend time with friends and family, celebrate our brotherhood and sisterhood, and recognize the members who make our union strong every single day.

Congratulations to all of our raffle prize winners, and thank you to everyone who helped make today possible!

We celebrate labor today but we stand with and celebrate our members every day.

This course addresses OSHA safety requirements when working from an elevated area such as stairs, ladders, scaffolds, aerial lifts and steel erection. It also addresses how to use, inspect and maintain personal protective equipment designed to protect the UBC member.
